YOUNG FISHERMAN ADMITS OFFENCE COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. A fisherman, Donald McPherson Stewart, aged 22, who was arrested at D’Urville Island for the theft of a launch yesterday pleaded guilty to stealing a launch, petrol and fishing gear to the total value of £1,500, the property of Guiseppi Lamaccliia, of Island Bay, and to five other charges of theft of benzine and other goods from other launches at Island Bay. These had been taken by way of fitting the launch out for a long trip. The owner stated that it had cost over £7O to get the craft back from Nelson. Stuart was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
