COMING-OF-AGE DANCE
ENJOYABLE EVENING AT SANDRINGHAM A guy coming-of-age dance in lion- 1 our of Mr. Frank Pickering, of Sandringham, was held in the Unity Hal.! on Saturday evening. Gaily-coloured streamers, intermingled with tinted lights and balloons, together with the beautiful frocks of the guests, made the hall appear very attractive. Mrs. Pickering received the guests wearing an uneven-length frock of floral crepe de chine. Among the dancers were: Mrs. H. Pollock, who wore black embossed georgette; Airs. J. E. Williams, jade crepe de chine, with black lace overdress; Miss with diamon te” trim 1 nings; 1 Miss IVlavis Pickering, shell pink crepe de chine, with i rosettes to tone: Miss Eileen Walker, I green frilled tafieta, with white embroidered shawl; Miss Nancy Holst, green crepe de chine and ring velvet; Mrs. H. Jaffe, lemon velvet, with shawl; Miss Doreen Mackav. shell pink taffeta and silver tinsel; Miss Crombie, period frock of blue aeorgetti'. and shawl to tone; Miss I. Moor, cherry satin, with tulle. Miss R. Gittos, wearing ankle-length pale green taffeta: Miss Thelma Marshall, ivory georgette and silver lace; Miss Li via Atwell, white chenille georgette over pink; Miss Beth Graham, diver lame bodice, pink georgette skirt cut in points; Miss A. Haslam, pink and silver satin: Miss Beryl Clark, shell pink georgette and silver; Miss Z. Mdvor, floral crepe de chine; Miss Ethel Gordon, peaeock blue, taffeta and silk net, with shoulder flower Miss B. Cleaver, salmon pink taffeta, with tulle hem; Miss Mavis Howson, green embossed georgette; Miss Jean Beck, primrose georgette, tiered frock: Miss Edna Bradley', apple green taffeta, with canary hemline, and canary bridge coat; Miss Elsie Walker, cornflower blue georgette, with scarlet trim-
