VICTORIA, DEVONPORT
When “In Old Arizona” was screened in Auckland some months ago, picturegoers declared it to be a film much above tho ordinary; now “Romance or the Rio Grande,” a similar type of talkie, but an advance on the first production, is being shown at the Victoria Theatre. A new star rises high in the movie firmament in this film. Sho is Mona Maris, a Spanish-Amcri-can beauty with a lovely voice, a charming personality, and great acting ability. Warner Baxter, who had one of the chief parts in ”In Old Arizona, is perfectly fitted for - his role, and others in the large cast are Mary Duncan and Antonio Moreno.
