WORKERS AROUSED
MASSED PROTEST AGAINST END OF SAFEGUARDING HYDE PARK DEMONSTRATION LONDON, Sunday. Twenty thousand workers in the safe-guarded industries demonstrat- d in Hyde Park today against the removal of the safeguarding duties. Twenty special trains brought 5,000 Nottingham lace-workers to London Speakers addressed the gathering from eight platforms. The meeting passed a resolution demanding a suspension of sentence on safeguarding in home and Empire markets.
