FIRE ENGINE CRASHES

CHRISTCHURCH ACCIDENT Press Association CHRISTCHURCH. Sunday. A lire engine proceeding to an outbreak of fire at Linwood yesterday met with an accident at the intersection of Fitzgerald Avenue and Armagh Street. One wheel of the engine ran into a deep gutter, and the machine swung round and crashed through an iron fence. One of the firemen was thrown to the road, but none of them was injured The windscreen of the engine was smashed.
