NATIONAL
“HER UNBORN CHILD” Believing the picture-going public is well surfeited with the Hood of singing, dancing, and underworld talkies presented during the past several months, Windsor Picture Plays, Inc., a -well-known producing organisation, has been one of the first movietakers to turn out a totally different talkie in their special feature, “Her Unborn Child,” which the National Theatre is presenting for an extended engagement. Produced with a. cast which numbers among its ranks some of the bestknown players of the legitimate stage, and directed by Albert Ray. “Her Unborn Child” offers one of the strongest stories ever selected for talking picture purposes. Treating in purely entertainment fashion an unusual and powerful subject, this talkie provides the most powerfully dramatic talkie fodder the screen of the country has held in many a day. Delicately, even beautifully handled, through competent direction and a superb cast of finished artists, “Her Unborn Child” carries a note of human appeal seldom achieved on stage or screen. A full programme of shorter talkie features is also being shown.
