CAR SMASHES WINDOW

EARLY-MORNING ACCIDENT I A large plate-glass v.indow in front of the shop of Rendells, Limited, in I Karangahape Road, was smashed at! 3 o’clock on Sunday morning when a j motor-car struck a tramway centre- 1 pole and careered across the road out | of control. The bonnet of the car finished up among a disp'ay of men’s suits The radiator and front mudguards were damaged, and the windscreen was shattered, but little damage was done to the goods in the window.
