centre had cancelled a proposed carnival at which the Australian swimmers would appear on their way to the Empire Games, was confirmed. It was decided to present to the two Auckland Empire Games representatives, Miss G. Pidgeon and Mr. G. Bridson, tokens of the centre’s appreciation.
