BROKEN RAIL

DAYLIGHT LIMITED DELAYED

A broken rail at Kakahi, south of Taumarunui, delayed the Daylight Limited express for about an hour yesterday. The broken rail was discovered by a ganger, and was replaced. A goods trains from Ohakune to Taumarunui was the only other train delayed. The express reached Auckland almost an hour late.
