SUBSIDIES NOT TO BE DISCONTINUED MINISTER’S DENIAL THE SUN'S Parliamentary Reporter WELLINGTON, Today. A strong denial that the subsidies to school committees were to be discontinued by the Government was given by the Minister of Education, the Hon. JI. Atmore. today. He said that no statement to that effect had ever been made. The Government had never had any intention of doing so and realised the valuable work being done by the school committees.
