BRITANNIA, THREE LAMPS
The chief picture at the Britannia Theatre, “South Sea Rose,” described as a sparkling comedy-drama with its central figure a mischievous lass from the tropics, was adapted from Tom Cushing's play. “La Gringa.” Charles Bickford has the most important male role, and players in support are Kenneth Mac Kenna. Farrell Macdonald and Tom Patricola. John Mack Brown and Sally O'Xe-ill ! are the. stars in the colourful and I melodious film, “Jazz Heaven.” which m also being shown.
The popularity of Maurie Chevalier, starring in “The Big Pond." has reached such ;t that a leading chain of Xev. Yelk t* a rooms has named a salad after the French singing star.
