RAILWAY DERAILMENT
SUBURBAN TRAINS DELAYED Owing to the derailment of three carriages in the Auckland railway yards this morning shortly before seven o’clock, outward suburban trains were delayed for about 3 5 minutes. A shunting engine, backing carriages up to the station, ran through the trap points opposite the signal-box. owing to a misunderstood signal between the shunter and the driver. The track was blocked for 40 minutes, though the main line was not affected nor was the running of important or main line trains.
