THREAT OF ANARCHY
deaths follow fights IN MADRID STRIKE SHADOW OF MARTIAL LAW Reed. 1 p.ni. MADRID, Tuesday. Resulting from a general strike which was declared yesterday, a state of anarchy threatens in Seville, where the shops have been closed and where business is at a standstill. There was a number of deaths in clashes with the police and crowds. Hundreds of arrests were made. Troops are assisting the police and martial law may bo declared.
