DESERT RAINS
Sudden rain, silver rain, Blotting out the land, Bringing waxen lilies, To open on the sand. Desert rain, drenching rain. In shining azure sheet, Waking shrub and cactus To flaunt gay flowers sweet. Swift rain, welcome rain, Bringing velvet green To clothe a sombre desert With a fairy sheen.
