£30,000 IN DRUGS

SMUGGLED GOODS FOUND AT FRENCH FORT WEIGHED OVER A TON PARIS, Monday. The customs officials at Marseilles seized more than a ton of heroin, cocaine and opium contained in 38 cases. The value of the drugs is £30,000. They were brought from Turkey in an Italian steamer and the bills of lading recorded the cases as containing dried fruit, powdered gum and boric acid. Five cases were found subsequently oh board the P. and O. liner Rajputaua. These were the first opened. Then the customs officials found the rest of the consignment.
