GIFT AFTERNOON

MORRINSVILLE BRIDE-ELECT ENTERTAINED A delightful gift afternoon was given by the Misses R. and A. Gifford at their residence, Clarence Road, Northcote for their niece, Miss Olive Gifford’ eldest daughter of Mr. Jack Gifford! Motumaoho, Morrinsville, formerly of Northcote, in honour of her approaching marriage. To receive their guests Miss R. Gifford and Miss A. Gifford wore frocks of navy charmaline relieved with beige georgette and blue figured crepe d© chine respectively. The bride-elect, Miss Olive Gifford, was in a frock of wine celanese silk. Items were given by Mrs. K. TJarrisson, Miss P. Johnston, Mrs. J. Minns and Mrs. A. Campbell. Competitions were won by Mrs. O. Honeycombe, Mrs. J. Fearnley, Miss J. Robertson, Miss J. McClymont and Mrs. D. P. O’Leary. Among those present were Mrs. D. P. O’Leary, Mrs. U. Campbell, Mrs. lioneycombe, Mrs. Coyle, Mrs, Robertson, Mrs. E. Bailey, Mrs. J. Fearnley, Mrs. A.
