FARMERS’ TOUR IN SOUTH
TWO PARTIES OF VISITORS Press Association WELLINGTON, Monday. A party of about 50 farmers from Poverty Bay, Hawke’s Bay and Wairarapa is touring the South Island, the members going south from Wellington on Saturday. The party will visit Christchurch, Akaroa, Lincoln College, Methven, Ashburton, Timaru, Dunedin, Queenstown and Invercargill. Another party of about 40 farmers from North Auckland has been entertained by the Farmers’ Union over the week-end. The farmers leave tomorrow for Napie.* and Hastings, and will visit Palmerston North on Thursday, leaving there on Friday to spend the week-end at Rotorua before returning home.
