ANNUAL CHURCH MEETING From Our Oic t Correspondent PUKEKOHE, Monday. The annual meeting of parishioners of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church was held on Sunday evening, the vicar, the Rev. J. P. Cowie, presiding. Also present was the Archdeacon of Manukau, the Ven. W. J. Simkin. In his report the vicar stated that the women’s guild had handed over £IOO toward the new church fund Plans had been prepared for a new church in brick to seat 250, at a cost of £3,500. At March 31 last the fund stood at £932 3s Bd. In addition the girls’ guild had some £l7O in trust for the fund, and £SO for some special gift. Mr. R. Bilkey was appointed people’s warden and Mr. J. G. Armstrong vicar’s warden. Messrs. J. N. Anderson, L. J. Bayly, A. D. Clark. E. E. Ingpen, H. E. Jones, H. E. Kissling, J. Russell, E. F. Snell, J. A. Somerville and H. N. Svendsen were elected to the church committee. Messrs. Anderson, Armstrong, Bayly, Kissling and Snell were elected to represent Pukekohe on the central vestry.

It was decided to assist in liquidating the debt of £l3O on the parish, and to canvass for £1,500 for the new church and to obtain permission for the loan of a further sum to meet the balance of the cost.
