BUILDING SOCIETY
At the seventh annual meeting of the Southern Cross Permanent Building Society held yesterday, the chairman of directors, Mr. W. Andrew, reported that the society had had a very satisfactory year. In moving: the adoption of the report, Mr. Andrew commented upon the successful introduction of the recording home aato which had been taken advantage of by many people who had never had a banking- account. lie also stated that the society's long term mortgages were in good demand, and it Was iho hope of the society to make the terms even easier in the future. The retiring directors. Professor H. IV. Segar and Mr. S. T. Rossi ter, were re-elected.
