DRIVER KILLED WHEN ENGINE CAPSIZES TRAGEDY iN AUSTRALIA United P.A.—By Telegraph Copyright Reed. 10.35 a.m. PERTH, Today. Leaving the rails between Wongan Hills and Northam. a railway engine tar tied over, throwing the fireman 40ft away, and burying the driver in mud and sand. The trucks following were telescoped and piled themselves into a mass of tangled wreckage, which caught fire and was quickly reduced to ashes and twisted iron. The lines had been affected by rain. Help was soon forthcoming. The driver, named Bailey, was released, but he died later, having had both legs broken and his chest badly injured. The fireman, named Guthrie, was also badly hurt.
