United P.A.—By Telegraph Copyright (Received 10.35 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Today. When the congregation attended the Presbyterian Church at South Melbourne, it found all the doors and windows barricaded, and after forcing an entrance, it was discovered that the organ, which is valued at £I,OOO, had been broken and the wooden pipes removed and nailed to the walls to barricade the windows.

The night service was conducted with the aid of candles placed on the ends of the seats along the aisles. The trouble is stated to be the re suit of a dispute with another church in the vicinity. The authorities some time ago decided to amalgamate the two Prcsby terian churches. The congregation at the church where the trouble occurred refused to do this, and for the last six months has been conducting its services without the aid of a minister.
