SUSPENDED TILL NEXT YEAR INTOXICATED IN MOTOR-CAR Press Association WELLINGTON. Sunday. A change of being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car was preferred against Allan Helson Auld, salesman, aged 31, in the Wellington Police Court yesterday. Accused was fined £lO and his licence was suspended until May 31, 1931. Sub-Inspector Lopdell said accused was seen standing by a motor-car in Tory Street. He was under the influence of liquor. He got into the car and was about to drive away. Accused asked that his licence be not endorsed, as it meant liis livelihood. Sub-Inspector Lopdell said those people who did not realise their responsibilities when they took' a drink and drove a car should not bo allowed to have a licence at nil.
