ARTILLERY ASSOCIATION
NEW ORGANISATION FORMED To preserve the spirit of comradeship among former artillerymen, a provisional organisation to be known as* the Artillery Association (Great War) is to be formed in Auckland and will hold its first meeting next Saturday evening. This move has arisen out of a number of meetings held recently by different batteries, members of which served during the Great War. The idea behind the new association originated when a number of artillery batteries, among which were the Ist, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, Bth, 13th, 15tli and 16th, held successful reunions of members who served in the war.
The objects of the association are to maintain comradeship among all who served in artillery units from 1914 to 191 S, to hold reunions and to honour artillerymen who lost their lives in the war. Additional objects are to assist in relieving distress arising from sickness, accident, or unemployment, and to obtain employment for those who are out of work.
