William Faversham is presenting at the Comedy in Melbourne. Mr. Faversham introduced this comedy to New York audiences. He has- played Lord Algernon Chetland 1,180 times. Betty Eley, the English actress brought out for the Australian season of “Love Lies” (by the White-Edgely duo), is a little lady of many accomplishments. She has played Binnie Hale’s part in “Puppets” in England; been principal girl in pantomimes; appeared with George Grossmitli and Mamie Watson in “Lady Mary”; has appeared with Wylie-Tate productions, and took Evelyn Laye’s part in “Betty of Mayfair” on a provincial tour. She comes to Australia fresh from a revival of “The Vagabond King.” _

To aid the distressed actors, the honour of being the first off the mark in Sydney are “The Matadors,” directed by Lew Connors, who will give an entertainment at the Playbox Theatre, kindly lent by Duncan McDougall, under the title of “Hawaiian Rose,” on July 29. The performance is to be musical, with a large cast of musical artists and ballets.
