STOLE AGAIN AFTER DISCHARGE INCREASING HIS LIBRARY Discharged from gaol a few days ago after serving a sentence for theft, Mervyn Thomas Reeves was sent back again for seven days after being convicted at the Police Court this morning of stealing a book. Reeves, alias Thomas Francis Reeves, pleaded guilty to stealing a book valued at a shilling from Percy Carnell Totman yesterday. SeniorSergeant Powell said accused was just out of gaol. He had taken the book from the front of a shop in Queen Street, and it was found in his possession when he was arrested In the street immediately after. Accused was sentenced to seven days’ imprisonment.
