ANOTHER squi the Auckland Swimming Centre has ended in the chairman again resigning after heated ■words. It is neither the first nor the second time that swimmiue has been seriously damaged by internal dissension That keen sporting rivalry which should be the life-blood of any sport seems in the case of swimming to have been subordinated in rather a petty way to club jealousies. The use of intemperate language and extreme statements was not calculated to smooth out the difficulties Thar arose The other evening. Rather, it tended to widen the breach. W’hat seems to be needed on the Auckland Centre is a stroncr welding force of delegates free from club bias. If the sport is to make the progress it should in Auckland, an end should be made to this interminable wrangling on the centre
