Club League Resumes
SECOND ROUND TOMORROW Newton to Meet Marist AFTER the feast of big fixtures of recent Saturdays, patrons of the Rugby Ueague code will witness club competition games again tomorrow, when The Auckland Rugby League will commence the second round of its senior grade competition.
The team at present leading for the championship. Alarist, will be called upon to stave off the challenge of a Newton side which is bound to be a harder proposition than it was in the. first round. It is hardly to be expected that Alarist will bo defeated, but the rangers will be out to get as near that goal as possible. It is expected that all the recently selected “All Blacks” will be playing club football for the last time prior to their departure for Australia. City and Kingsland will play the curtain-raiser to the main game, and Devon port will meet Ponsonby on No 2 ground at Carlaw Park at 3 p.m. Ellerslie will travel out to Grey Lynn Park to meet Richmond on the latter's home ground.
