The amending tariff schedule was tabled in the House of Representatives by Mr. F. M. Forde. Acting Minister of Customs. The schedule, which embodies the April alterations, imposes increased duties on 114 items, and reduces the duties on eight. The most important items affected by increased rotes are timber, machinery and motor-car chassis.
