COMMISSION DELAYED
EX-PREMIER UNABLE TO GIVE EVIDENCE YET QUEENSLAND MINE LEASES BRISBANE, Wednesday. Mr. K. G. Theodore, Federal Treasurer, formerly Premier of Queensland, communicated with the Royal Commission which in inquiring into the matter of the Mungana mining leases, stating that he would not be able to give evidence for some time as he was occupied with the Federal Budget. Mr. H. J. Henchman, Crown solicitor, Brisbane, replied: “Your reply is too indefinite. The Royal Commissioner desires to inform you that he will keep the inquiry open till June 24, and would like to know whether you intend to avail yourself of the opportunity to give evidence.”
