TRIBESMEN BLUFFED

BOGUS MURDER TALES. MAKE THEM FIGHT PROPAGANDA IN INDIA Reed. 9.40 a.m. DELHI, Wed. It has now been established that the recent (ribal outbreaks along the north-west frontier were engineered from Peshawar and other centres of British territory by means of unscrupulous and virulent propaganda by Nationalist agitators. One method by which the wild border tribesmen were urged to revolt was by carrying baskets full of bloodstained clothing, which was in some cases procured with the assistance of local butchers, and other tokens of alleged wholesale murder of -tribesmen in Peshawar by British troops. I he propaganda diminished, hut was later revived, and at present is producing further trouble.
