N.Z. HERD TESTING ASSN.

INCREASING ACTIVITY Returns of the New Zealand Cooperative Herd-testing Association’s operations for the 192 9-30 season show that 90,861 cows .were tested, and yielded an average of 262.721 b of butterfat per cow in 260 days, an increase I of 17.841 b of butter-fat per cow comi pared with the previous season’s returns. During the season 71 groups, comprising 1,851 herds were tested. It is expected that two new groups will be formed in North Auckland before the coming season commences. The annual meeting of the council of the New Zealand Herd-testing Federation, comprising delegates from 22 associations, will be held in Hamilton on Monday.
