AUCTIONEERS’ REPORTS Stock auctioneers report on sales held throughout the district during the past week as follow: Alfred Buckland and Sons, Ltd.: —During the week we held sales at Westfield, Turua, Pokeno, Runeiman and Helensville, and three clearing sales. There were full yardings for the time of the season, and good clearances were effected at all centres, i Best dairy cows made £l4 to £lB 10s; second grade dairy cows, £9 to £l3 10s; aged and inferior, £4 10s to £8 15s: best springing heifers, £l2 .to £l7 ss; others, £5 10s to £ll 15s; empty young cows and heifers, £ 3 10s to £5; store and boner cows, £1 10s to £5; cows, with calves, £6 10s. to £9 10s; fat cows and heifers, £5 5s to £9, 17s 6d; fat steers, £lO 10s to J £l4 ss; weaner heifers, £1 15s to £4; ; weaner steers, £2 10s to £4 2s; three to four-year-old steers, .C 8 to £9 ss, k two to three-year-old steers, £6 10s i to £7 15s; yearling to 18-month steers, £4 10s to £6 7s lid; heavy bulls, £6 ’ 10s to £8 17s 6d; sound young herd bulls, £4 to £9 9s; other bulls, £1 10s to £3. _ j The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited: Sales were held during the past week iz Westfield, Pußekohe (cattle and pigs), Waiuku, Warkworth and Papa- - kura, and a clearing sale 0.1 account 1 of Mr. F. H. Lupton, Karaka. There is a keen demand for choice and good quality dairy cattle, which are realising ■ high values. Mr. Lupton’s sole was a • particularly good one. All other 1 classes of cattle are selling at late rates.
