BRICK AND PIPE COMPANY
DIVIDEND OF 3* PER CENT. From Our Resident Reporter WELLINGTON, Today. The shareholders of Consolidated &rick and Pipe Investments, Limited, held their first annual meeting yesterday, Mr. T. E. Clark, chairman of directors, presiding. He announced that for the period under review the company’s investments had yielded dividends totalling £21,641. The recommendation for the payment of a dividend of 35 per cent, on the paid-up capital, amounting to £19.496, was carried and directors’ honoraria of £3OO approved. This left a balance to be carried forward Of £1,844 17s 6d. The report stated that in addition to the present dividend shareholders received in October an interim dividend for their holdings in Amalgamated Brick and Pipe Company, Ltd., and Amalgamated Brick and Pipe (.Wellington), Ltd. Administration expenses, which were purely nominal, xvere borne by the subsidiary companies. The balance-sheet shows that the capital consists of 600.000 shares of £1 each, o : which 558,730 shares have hegn issued. As there is 12s 6d uncalled on 2,700 shares, the paid-up capital amounts to £ 557,042 10s. The assets consist of shares in other companies, £556,792 10s, and sundridebtors £21,891 7s sd.
