WEST TAKAPUNA RATEPAYERS
At the monthly meeting of the Takapuna Western Area Ratepayers’ and Residents’ Association, a resolution Mas passed protesting against the proposed increase in the wages of members of the council office staff. Members expressed the opinion that, M’ith the exception of one or two of the juniors, the staff was already well r>aid. and that no increases should bo made while the rates were so high. The meeting, over which Mrs. J. C. i Blomfield presided, was v eil attended. !
