TRAMS TO STATION

START MADE ON LOOP The Transport Board has begun construction of the tram tracks to serve the new railway station. Gangs are engaged in putting down points in the rails in Beach Road. The loop will be a single track running up the ramp to the station entrance. The trams will draw up in (♦out of a loading platform like a large safety zone. They will then continue their journey down the other ramp and regain the main tracks in Beach Road.. The system is so planned as to enable cars from the city to traverse the station loop and return to the city without the necessity of proceeding toward Parnell after leaving the loop. A double track on the ramp allows the parking of trams which meet important trains.
