A description of the Chalet at Charlotte Pass, Mount Kosciusko, which will be ready for occupation by May 1, published in a Sydney exchange, shows what is being done in Australia for tourists. It states: —The building is of wood on stone foundatins, and accommodation will be provided for 28 persons in two dormitories. The smaller dormitory on the ground floor will accommodate eight women, and the larger one on the first floor 20 men. A large common room with open fireplace will be made a special feature of comfort. Central heating, hot and cold water'and septic sewerage are to be provided; also electric lighting. The site is at the head of Spencer’s Creek, below Charlotte Pass, and at an elevation of 5.500 feet. The j roadway at Charlotte Pass is 6,035 i feet.
