BRIDE IN BEIGE
BLACKER—HAROLD St. Mark’s Church. To Aroha, was the scene of a pretty wedding on the occasion of the marriage of Miss AMc-e Harold, of L*eede, England. to Mr. Frank Blanker, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. Blacker, of Bristol, England. The Rev. R. L. Connolly was the officiating minister. The brido was given away by Mr. Roy Trebilco, and wore a frock of beige crepe de c hine trimmed with lace, with beige coloured hat to tone, trimmed with dainty shaded feathers. She carried a shower bouquet of chrysanthemums, pansies and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid. Miss Eileen Leonardo, of Te Aroha, wore mauve crepe de chine with hat to tone. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Val Martin as best man. The wedding reception was field at the iJomain Tea Rooms, which were prettily decorated in honour of the occasion. DONOVAN—MAUI X pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Te Aroha when Miss Agnes May Maui, of "Walton, was married to Mr. Victor Donovan, third son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Donovan, of Ngarua. The Rev. Father Corby was the officiating priest The bride was given away by her father and wore a. frock of white satin beaut© with white georgette petals forming an uneven hemline. The bridesmaid. Miss E. Donovan, was in orange chiffon velvet, and her hat to- tone was of silk georgette. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Arnold Donovan as best man. The reception which followed was held at the Excelsior Tearooms, which were beautifully decorated for the occasion.
