In the second innings, they lost 6 for 208 (declared). Middlesex, first innings, 242 (Ilearne 80), and in the second, lost 5 for 43. Yorkshire won on the first innings. Derby, first innings, made 144. Freeman took 8 for 70. He is the first bowler to get 100 wickets this season. The second innings produced 90. Freeman took 5 for 40, Hardinge 4 for 29. Kent, first innings, made 171 (Ames, not out, 83), and in the second lost 1 for 64. Kent won by nine wickets. Hampshire, first innings, made 339 (Mead 60, Arnold 59), and in the second, 193. Goddard took 5 for 43. Gloucester, first innings, got 316 (Lyon 132, Barnett 77). Newman took 5 for 84. The second innings produced 188. Boyes took 6 for 18. Hampshire won by 28 runs.
