RELATIVES OF PEER

POTENTIAL CLAIMANTS IN LORD ASHTON’S ESTATE ONE IN NEW ZEALAND SYDNEY, Sunday. There has been an interesting development, following an announcement from Christchurch that Mr. R. B. Cape Williamson, a local dentist, claims to be the only surviving blood relative, a second cousin, of the late Lord Ashton, whose estate is reported to be worth between £20,000,000 and £30,000,000. The “Sydney Morning Herald” has found and interviewed Mr. Henry Cape Williamson, of Cremorne, Sydney, who claims to be a first cousin of the late Lord Ashton. "Lord Ashton’s father,'' said Mr. Williamson, “James Williamson, and mj’ father, George Williamson, were brothers. I can scarcely believe that Lord Ashton died without leaving a will. His daughter Ella married Earl Peel. I resided in New Zealand for many years, and was assistant to a number of well-known medical men.” Mr. R. B. Cape Williamson. of Christchurch, stated recently that he was a second cousin of the late Lord Ashton. Mr. Williamson said his grandfather and Lord Ashton’s father were brothers. His father had thus been a first cousin to Lord Ashton.
