Entrants Are Assured Impartial Treatment SPECIAL BONUS VOTES UNTIL SATURDAY

Many of the contestants and friends of the contestants in The Sun’s great prize competition are calling at the office and asking about discouraging reports which are being circulated. Let it be said at once that the competition is absolutely fair and impartial. Every safeguard and restriction that can possibly be adopted have been placed on this competition to ensure fairness. FANTASTIC STORIES Many of the contestants are reporting that stories are being circulated as to the immense quantity of votes that are being held by this and that contestant. These stories are absolutely foolish, as no one in this competition has a commanding lead over another contestant. In nearly all , cases the stories are started solely to discourage the other candidate from putting up a winning race. Many persons think that, by discouraging others, they will keep the field clear, and make it easier for themselves, and therefore these wild and unfounded stories are started. There is absolutely no opportunity for anyone to buy out this competition or to buy any of the prizes. Prizes are awarded solely for merit by securing subscriptions, and votes are given to those contestants who secure subscriptions. PUTTING UP BLUFF In nearly all cases those who circulate stories as to the millions of votes they have in reserve have not even started in the race, but are merely putting up a bluff. Do not let someone bluff you out of what may be rightly yours. Many reports are circulated as to this one and that one having dozens of subscriptions which they are going to hold up until the last minute. This is merely foolish. At the present time, and until June 21, there is a bonus of 500,000 extra votes given for each total of £lO That means thousands of extra votes at this time which one would not get at the last minute. Therefore a contestant who had ten or twenty subscriptions would secure more votes than a contestant with 50 subscriptions on the last day. So one can see how foolish it is for a person to talk about waiting until the last minute. Furthermore, at no time of the race will any information as to the amount any contestant has be given. Anyone who waits until the last minute will have no more information than one who puts the subscriptions in now. Contestants have the right to hold their votes in reserve if they desire, and nobody can possibly find out how many reserve votes a contestant may have. Therefore the t»rson who waits until the last minute will have many disadvantages, and much less opportunity to win than the one who puts forth his effort at this time, and takes every advantage of the bonus offer.
