TAUMARUNUI BRIDE WEARS LOVELY GOWN OF IVORY AND SILVER

DAVIS—POTTER At the Taumarunui Presbyterian Church recently the marriage took place of Esther Elizabeth Gotham, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Potter, of Port Chalmers, and William Charles, second son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Davis, of nui.The Rev. C. Brier!y officiated at the ceremony. The church had been very artistically decorated by friends of the bride. Given away by her father, the bride wore a bridal gown fashioned with a corsage of silver and diamente. and a pointed skirt of white georgette. A pretty net veil was worn with a coronet of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums, gardenias, and fern. Two bridesmaids attended—Miss Ida Gotham Potter, of Wellington, sister of the bride, who wore a frock of green crepe de chine, with a peaked skirt and shoulder cape, and Miss Marjorie Isabelle Davis, wearing green georgette trimmed with lemon, with long uneven hemline. They wore coronets of silver leaves, and carried bouquets of autumn flowers. Little Marjorie Turrell, niece of the bridegroom, was flower-girl, and wore a frock of pale pink crepe de chine, with a frilled skirt. Her head-dress was of silver leaves, and she carried an autumntinted bouquet. At the reception which was held later at the Arcadia Tea Rooms, Mrs. Potter wore a gown of navy crepe de chine, with a hat to tone. Mrs. Davis was in a wine-coloured wool crepe de chine frock, and navy hat. To travel in, the bride wore a frock of brown figured velvet, with a brown hat to match.
