NORTHCOTE WOMEN’S PROGRESSIVE LEAGUE
MONTHLY MEETING
Mrs. T>. P. O'Leary presided over a large attendance at the monthly meeting of the Northcote Women's Progressive League, held in the Parish Hal!, Northcote, recently. At the request of Miss E. Melville, the league will arrange for a public meeting to be addressed by her on New Zealand-made goods, when samples and pictures on the subject will be displayed. It was decided to co-operate with the Mayor of Xorthcote and the members of the Borough Council In a project to recognise the honour conferred on Mr. P. Minns, who has been se’ected for a Rhodes Scholarship Mr. Minns has been a resident in the borough for a long period. Mrs. S win bank gave an interestingaddress on the work performed by the National Council of Women. Airs. Ussher was responsible for a demonstration of cake-icing, and received a hearty vote of thanks at tli«» conclusion. Afternoon tea brought an enjoyable meeting to a close.
