BIG HOUSE BURNED
DANNEVIRKE OUTBREAK OCCUPANTS’ HEAVY LOSS Pj ess Association # DANNEVIRKE, Todaj . A fire at Tipapakuku at 2.30 this morning totally destroyed an 11-roomed house owned and occupied by Mr. J. Millar. A I outbuildings were also burned. The occupants had a narrow escape. The fire apparently staj-ted in the pantry, where there was an electric cooker. The dwelling and outbuildings were insured in the State Office for £1.450 and the furniture for £2OO, also in the State Office. The personal loss was not covered by insurance and was heavy.
