ENTRIES FOR CLASSICS
Entries for future classic races of the Auckland Racing Club and Avondale Jockey Club closed yesterday. The figures for the Auckland Racing Club's events are large in each instance, and are expected to be slightly bigger than those for last year. The Avondale Club’s races have also filled well and. although there is a decrease in connection with the Avondale
intakes, for which there are 76 entries, the Avondale Guineas and the All Aged .Stakes have attracted splendid nominations. having drawn 154 and 123 respectively.
