RABBIT SKIN MARKET
DUNEDIN SALES Comparatively small catalogues were again offered at this week’s Dunedin rabbitskin sales. A severe drop in prices was expected in sympathy with the 20 per cent, decline at the London sales last week, and while at this sale prices for most grades Were definitely lower, the demand was a good deal better than was anticipated. Generally the market can be quoted lower by 3d to 4d a lb. There was a good demand for good winter bucks, which sold at about 70d a lb, with does at about 60d. The following is the range of prices: Summer broken, lOd to autumn broken, 193 dto 21d; first winter broken, 23d to 26£d; runners and suckers, 13d to 133 d; summers, 12Sd to 13id; light racks, 20d to 20£d; prime racks, 18d to 19d; dawny autumn, 22d to 24d; early autumns, 28d to 32id,; autumn, 42d to 473 d; second incoming, 28d to 29d; incoming winter, 51d to 53d; early winter, 46£d to 64id; second winter bucks, 36d to 45d; second winter does. 37*d to 41|d; first winter bucks, 70d to 721 d; first winter does, 55£d to sSid; prime bucks, 722 dto 733 d; prime does, 66d to 70d; second shotted winters 21d to 24d; springs, 18id to 21d; milky, 113 dto 122 d; fawn. 2Sd to 3Sd; winter fawn, 75d to 79d; summer black, 112 dto 12£d; autumn black, 18d to 30d: first winter black, 46d to 50d; second winter black, 26d to 36d; hareskins, 9d to 12d; horsehair, 14d to 16d.
