j \ e - Learning, of the Rotorua Jriigh fecnool, convened a, meeting for the purpose of forming an Old Boy's Football Club. Two teams have nominated, and Mr. I. Gainsford has been appointed eecrtary pro. tem.
The Rotorua Orphans’ Club’s session opened on Thursday evening, Mr. W. Hill being- in the chair. The hall "as crowded. \ isiting brothers were Messrs. Bartlett, Andrews, Baker and Buchanan. The programme was supplied by the following: Instrumental quintette (Messrs. Painton, A. Dixon, J. Dixon, C. Tattersall and J". Brass quartette. (Messrs. Bartlett, J* Goodchild, E. Tasker and A. ferry) Messrs. Lux, Foster. Painton. A. Dixon ' * J- Meredith and Fred Baker. The special committee appointed b-" the Rotorua Borough Council to consider the development of the lake front reported at the last meeting of the Council that it had instructed the Council’s solicitor to draft a bill for vesting the defined area of the lake bed in the Council. The area to be reclaimed will be approximately eight acres. It is proposed to use part of the reclaimed land for 15 building sites. Also, a roadway ;s proposed round the lake front.
