CAMERON’S STATUS QUESTIONED
The eligibility of W. Cameron, former New Zealand swimming star, to represent Australia. at the Empire Games, has been questioned by the Queensland Amateur Swimming Association, which has demanded that the Australian Swimming Union veto his entry for the Games or else hold a mail vote on the question. The objection to Cameron is that he does not fulfil residential Qualifications to represent Australia, and would not be eligible to compete in an Australian national championship if it were held before he
left for Canada. It is considered that Reg. Grier. Australian 220yds and 440yds champion and 100yds recordholder. has been badlv treated in the selection
