DR. E. MARSDEN TO GO TO LONDON NEW ZEALAND’S INTERESTS Press Association WELLINGTON, Thursday. The Government has decided to send Dr. E. Marsden, secretary of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, to England to attend important research conferences to be held in conjunction with the Imperial Conference. Dr. Marsden will leave for London about the middle of next month. * The Prime Minister, the Hon. G. W. Forbes, said that apart from questions relating to scientific investigations of considerable value to New Zealand, the research policy of the whole Empire would come up for review at the conferences. At the present time, New Zealand was receiv-ing from the Empire Marketing Board useful subsidies and grants, and as further activities in this direction were to be determined, it was essential that Dr. Marsden should be present to -watch the interests of New Zealand and make the best arrangements possible for cooperation and assistance.
