“THE HARDEST WINTER”

For a week from June 22, the Auckland Hospital Auxiliary will be making an appeal for assistance, in its effort to raise C 1.000 for its activities among the sick, the impoverished and their dependants in the hospital, the Infirmary and St. Helen’s Hospital. “We are entering the hardest winter as regards unemployment. Members of the auxiliary call for goods, and patients are taken to their homes after treatment. There is a special committee which buys and distributes clothing. A card parly and dance to raise funds will be held on June 25 at the Click Clack Cabaret. Newmarket and. the following evening, there will be an address on the activities of the organisation by Mrs. R. Wettenhall. from IYA.
