ATTEMPTS TO BE MADE AERIAL FILM PLANNED One attempt will certainly be made tmilv next year at Ninety-Mile Beach on the world land speed record of 233 miles an hour held by Sir Henry i .'esrave. and it is hoped that other attempts on the same record will also be made here. At a meeting of the council of the Auckland Automobile Association last evening- it was announced that Mr. TI. Butcher, who was in charge of the timing of the recent ttempt on tlu world ten-mile record ; by Mr. Norman “Wizard” Smith, will endeavour to interest drivers of international fame during a visit he will make shortly to England. Some time ago the association invited Mr. Kaye Don to come to Ninety- j Mile Beach for his attempt on the retard. the conditions at Daytona Beach ( roving unsuitable.
